How DNB Increased Cyber Resilience in the Financial Sector Through Advanced Cyber Testing
A Private Executive Roundtable Co-hosted by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and ON2IT Cybersecurity
Join a select group of senior financial decision-makers in a private discussion on what Advanced Red Teaming (ART) is revealing across the financial sector – and the implications leaders must address now.
April 22nd, 2026 • Slot Zeist
A select group of CIOs, CISOs, and IT leaders will convene for a confidential discussion on what Advanced Red Teaming (ART) is revealing across the financial sector – and what it takes to be ready for it.
Advanced Red Teaming prepares institutions for real cyberattacks by simulating realistic threat actors, exposing weaknesses across technology, governance, people, processes, and third parties.
Since 2016, Rob Wassink has led DNB’s Test Cyber Team (TCT), guiding institutions through threat-led ART exercises under the TIBER-EU and DNB ART frameworks – focused on real capability, not compliance. In this closed-door session, he will share how DNB approaches ART in practice – and what leaders should consider before taking this step.
For organisations that have not yet undertaken ART, this roundtable offers insight into readiness, implementation, and the organisational implications of these high-impact tests.
The session will be moderated by Prof. dr. Yuri Bobbert, Global CSO at ON2IT, who combines research with DNB and real-world oversight of large-scale 24/7 security operations.
Roundtable topics
- What ART testing involves and how institutions prepare
- The role of 24/7 operational capabilities in resilience testing
- How to manage third-party risks and involve third parties in ART testing
- How “ART Gold Teaming” extends testing into crisis management scenarios based on red team findings and threat actor behaviour
- Lessons learned from ART and Gold Teaming
- How DNB collaborates with other regulatory bodies such as AFM, RDI, the government, education and healthcare sectors
During this roundtable, all participants are invited to share their experiences and learn from peers in the industry. Seats are limited and subject to review and approval by DNB and ON2IT.
