What is the Hack the boat event?
Did you know that much like banks, factories and retail shops, boats and ports can be hacked too?
To demonstrate the vulnerability of vital infrastructures like the maritime industry, our cybersecurity experts built a scale model of a real-life container ship. Including numerous mechanical workings inside the boat.
Our Hack the Boat event starts with a short introduction that highlights the day-to-day of a cybersecurity expert: how does an education in IT compare to the reality of working in cybersecurity?
Then, you’ll be put to the test in the form of a Capture the Flag challenge – do you have what it takes to hack the ballast system of an actual seafaring vessel?
Team up with other cyber swashbucklers or take on the challenge solo: show us what you’ve got!
