Know your responsibilities
Using the cloud is an efficient solution for many IT issues. Using the cloud makes your data easily accessible for employers and customers. But, unfortunately, also for hackers.
What about the security of data and applications in the cloud? Did you know that your cloud provider is responsible solely for the protection of the cloud? And that you – as owner of the data – are responsible for the protection of the data and applications in the cloud?
Make sure you are familiar with this shared responsibility and prevent data becoming unintentionally accessible to external parties.
Know your responsibilities within the various cloud environments, because the further away your data is from on-site, the more that control is in the hands of the cloud provider.
