Waardenburg/Plano, 30 September 2019 — With the appointment of Prof. Dr. Yuri Bobbert as Global Chief Information Security Officer, cybersecurity company ON2IT has acquired a cybersecurity expert with extensive theoretical and practical experience.
In recent years, Bobbert has been Global Chief Information Security Officer at the NN Group, the Dutch Holding company (Nationale Nederlanden) of a global active financial services company. He initiated and led the development of the Global Cyber Risk & Security Platform strategy of the financial multinational. “With Yuri’s contribution we have reached several achievements throughout our global company in the area of Information Security. Also, in the integration of DeltaLloyd Yuri Bobbert played an important role. He has done a lot of good work for NN Group”, says Amir Arooni, CIO at the NN Group.
In addition to his work in the business community, Bobbert is a professor at the Antwerp Management School, where his team is involved in Cyber Risk & Security research and education. He obtained his PhD at the University of Antwerp and Radboud University on the dissertation Improving the Maturity of Business Information Security.
In this dissertation, Bobbert describes the construction and delivery of a software-based application for a more effective connection of strategic goals to tactical management and operational security processes.
